still learning to tie knots

In the middle of the sea she told him she could go no further. "Farther," he said, with tender correction. "It's exactly that sort of remark that makes me despair," she snapped, and drowned.

You Have a Very Quizzical Look on Your Face

 WHERE AM I?

Good question! You've managed to find your way to the writing website of Random da Shea. Who is this Random da Shea of whom you speak, you ask? An even better question!

Fact is, no one is quite sure. Not even the person herself, which is probably why she's referring to herself in the third person at the moment. It's almost certainly a pseudonym, possibly a misnomer, and quite likely chosen just to mislead and amuse. What she does, on the other hand, is another story completely.

She writes.

I write. (Let's have a quick change of perspective, since I'm fooling no one, including myself.) I write constantly, and usually have a good ten projects underway, with new ones popping up all the time. If stories were children, I'd be giving Canada a run for its money.

So what are you here for? Another good question! Have a cookie.* Hopefully, you're here because you're a reader, and not because you were looking for pictures of David Duchovny. Because if the latter is true, you're going to be sorely disappointed. This is a writer's website, the site of a writer who is still learning to tie knots in kitestrings, who hasn't quite started to fly. One of these days, I tell people, and I mean it. One of these days.

New features are being added and things updated, so expect a changing webscape. Presently you can find your way using the links to your left. Feel free to leave a message on the guestbook.

*Note: no cookies are actually being offered at this time.

9-7-09: Added "Pictures and Events" page (now with extra pictures! Not so many events, though.) Still have a crush on Marlon Brando, but that's not really site-related, is it?

8-25-09: At long last, updates! "Upcoming events" page added and updated, so check out the awesome promise of BOOKSIGNING AT THE COUNTY FAIR. Also, a few changes sprinkled here and there, and more planned for the next few days. Yes, I am alive.

4-20-09: Excerpts and short stories added.

SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW?

Without Alice is now available HERE. Check the links on the side panel for excerpts, and make sure to leave a comment in the guestbook!
