Alice In Wonderland/Without Alice

Of Many Hats:   There's a new hat shop in town, and Alice finds the hat maker and his assistant strangely familiar. Mr. Carter seems to have mistaken himself for someone else, however, and Mr. Hasen is thoroughly occupied with getting the tea on.

Alice Aforethought:  The truth was, he'd seen this girl coming miles away. Seen straight to the future to her reentry to Wonderland, when suddenly she was so delightful. Now, though, she's an annoying little girl who prattles on endlessly.

With a White Stone:  He marked the days that were particularly pleasant with a white stone. Days such as this one, when Alice was a captive, enchanted audience, breathlessly waiting for the story to continue.
